Baseball Recap: Healdsburg's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After flying high against Montgomery last Friday, Healdsburg came back down to earth. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Analy Tigers by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday. The Greyhounds' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Noah Wong was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Healdsburg saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xander Harms, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Healdsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Analy, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

While Healdsburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
