The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Westminster Christian has scored all season.
Elizabeth Beto was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family. The matchup was Beto's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Maya Krutul, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Westminster Christian's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.6 points per game. As for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.
Westminster Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hoffman Estates at 1:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family, they will head out on the road to face off against Kankakee Trinity Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
