Holdrege proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by four) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Madison Dragons 3-2. For Holdrege, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 win Madison walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Joshua Janssen and Jackson Deaver scored all three of Holdrege's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Holdrege's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three contests. As for Madison, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Holdrege will square off against rival North Platte at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Madison is set to challenge their familiar foe Norfolk at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
