Softball Recap: Marshall Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

Marshall proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 11) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Arleta Mustangs 9-7. The Barristers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Samantha Nunez was excellent, going 1-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Arianna Carrera was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Marshall pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Arleta, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Marshall will head out to square off against Marquez at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arleta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eagle Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
