Massaponax is 9-1 against Riverbend since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Massaponax Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Riverbend Bears at 5:00 p.m. Massaponax will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Massaponax didn't have too much trouble with Brooke Point as they won 44-28.

Meanwhile, Riverbend got the win against North Stafford on Saturday by a conclusive 52-27. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Wolverines are ranked 366th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Massaponax pushed their record up to 12-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points over those games. As for Riverbend, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.

Massaponax came out on top in a nail-biter against Riverbend when the teams last played on Monday, sneaking past 46-43. Does Massaponax have another victory up their sleeve, or will Riverbend turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
