Football Recap: Suwannee Starts Season with Win on the Road

Suwannee had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past Taylor County with a 12-6 win on Thursday.

Suwannee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tor'Lanedria Ross, who picked up 53 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Ross also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Suwannee's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Brandy Robinson was the leader with two.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Suwannee will challenge Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Taylor County, they will face off against Jefferson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
