Anthem Prep lost to BASIS Phoenix back in January of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Anthem Prep Eagles were the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over the BASIS Phoenix Firebirds. Considering the Eagles have won four matches by more than four goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit BASIS Phoenix with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Aaron Motter (3), Gabriel Contreras (2), and Gavin Howard.

The victory was the third in a row for Anthem Prep, bringing their record for this year to 7-3-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three games. As for BASIS Phoenix, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9-1 record this season.

Anthem Prep will square off against Horizon Honors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Anthem Prep knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Horizon Honors likes a good challenge. As for BASIS Phoenix, they will venture away from home to square off against Maryvale Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. BASIS Phoenix is facing Maryvale Prep at the right time seeing as Maryvale Prep is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
