Bluefield is a perfect 6-0 against Summers County since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Beavers will venture away from home to face off against the Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Bluefield and 11 for Summers County dating back to last season.

Things were looking good for Bluefield after they put the first runs on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of PikeView by a score of 6-5.

Taylor Mabry made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole five bases while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Summers County fell victim to Liberty and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 16-0.

Bluefield's record now sits at 1-8. As for Summers County, their record is now 0-3.

Everything went Bluefield's way against Summers County when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Bluefield made off with a 21-0 victory. Will the Beavers repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
