Basketball Game Preview: North White Vikings vs. Winamac Warriors

The North White Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the Winamac Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

North White is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Carroll two weeks ago (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. North White was outmatched by Carroll and fell 60-24. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

Chris Annis was North White's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Fernando Gomez held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Ephraim Denton took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Meanwhile, Winamac lost to Logansport at home by a 76-58 margin on Tuesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Winamac's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for North White, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

North White was dealt a bruising 65-32 loss at the hands of Winamac in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can North White avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
