Basketball Recap: Howell North Comes Up Short

Howell North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Charles West Warriors. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 68-60 to the Warriors when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Howell North's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for St. Charles West, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Howell North won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ritenour at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Huskies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.4 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. Charles West, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Bayless at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
