The St. Clair Bulldogs will square off against the Union Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
St. Clair is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Festus just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.
While St. Clair ultimately came up short, they really made Festus work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 24-26, 27-25, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, St. Clair had strong showings from Lianah McDonald, who had 22 digs, and Kylee Brandt, who had 21 digs, 12 kills, and one block. Brandt has been hot, having posted 19 or more digs the last five times she's played.
Meanwhile, Union also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Hillsboro by a score of 3-1.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 25-15, 25-17.
Union's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for St. Clair, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: St. Clair has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6 aces per game. However, it's not like Union struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
