Volleyball Recap: Minneapolis Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Minneapolis challenged Haven on Saturday. The Lions came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Minneapolis not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Haven to exactly 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17.

Baylee Randall-Hurt paced Minneapolis' offense, picking up seven kills. Randall-Hurt got some help from Addison Abell and her 14 assists. Finally, Randall-Hurt was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Minneapolis is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season. As for Haven, they dropped their record down to 14-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Minneapolis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Rock Creek on the 11th. As for Haven, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Chapman on the 11th.
