Basketball Game Preview: Graceville Tigers vs. Sneads Pirates

Graceville hasn't had much luck against Sneads recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Graceville Tigers will host the Sneads Pirates at 4:00 p.m. Graceville will be strutting in after a win while Sneads will be coming in after a defeat.

Graceville took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Marianna by a score of 39-28. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Zaria Nedd, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. Those 17 boards gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aarshunni Curry, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Graceville was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marianna only posted one assist.

Meanwhile, Sneads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against Holmes County, falling 93-19. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 62-14.

Sneads' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Graceville, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.

Everything came up roses for Graceville against Sneads in their previous matchup on January 3rd, as the squad secured a 58-17 win. Will Graceville repeat their success, or does Sneads have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
