Softball Recap: Whitesboro Comes Up Short

Whitesboro lost to New Hartford back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Warriors took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Cook spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

Whitesboro's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for New Hartford, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Whitesboro is set to take on their familiar foe Camden at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, New Hartford will challenge rival Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
