Volleyball Recap: Dimond Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with South Anchorage + How To Watch

Dimond faced South Anchorage in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Lynx fell 3-1 to the Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss last Saturday.

Dimond started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-19.

Anayah Sila paced Dimond's offense, picking up ten kills. Sila got some help from Puao Asailevai and her 18 assists. Tatum Trombley controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Dimond's loss ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 18-9-1. As for South Anchorage, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-3.
