Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

Bloomfield lost to Creighton back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bees lost to the Bulldogs at home by a 56-40 margin.

Despite the defeat, Bloomfield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ajay Jensen posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Eisenhauer, who had eight points.

Bloomfield has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Creighton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Looking ahead, Bloomfield won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Homer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bees will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 63.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Creighton, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Plainview at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 57 points per game this season.
