Basketball Game Preview: Broome Centurions vs. Greer Middle College Blazers

Broome has gone 3-0 against Greer Middle College recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Broome Centurions will challenge the Greer Middle College Blazers at 6:15 p.m. Broome has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Broome is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Union County: they outscored them in every quarter. Everything went Broome's way against Union County on Friday as Broome made off with a 53-30 victory.

Broome found their leader in sophomore Kourtney Wofford, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Wofford is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 17 games she's played. Dakota Mitchell was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, Greer Middle College was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Woodruff and fell 61-25. While losing is never fun, the Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Wolverines are ranked 60th).

Greer Middle College's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Broome, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.

Everything came up roses for Broome against Greer Middle College in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the team secured a 74-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Broome since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
