Softball Game Preview: Westlake Chaparrals vs. Laredo LBJ Wolves

The Westlake Chaparrals will face off against the Laredo LBJ Wolves at 11:14 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Westlake: 3, Laredo LBJ: 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Westlake was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Miller on Friday. Everything went Westlake's way against Miller as Westlake made off with an 8-1 win. Considering the Chaparrals have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

While Laredo LBJ didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged out Miller 8-6.

Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Laredo LBJ, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
