Waccamaw had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Aynor on Tuesday. The Warriors blew past the Blue Jackets 8-2. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 win the Blue Jackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Carson Dunn made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rostan Pate, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Christian Galasso, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run.

Waccamaw's record now sits at 8-10. As for Aynor, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3.

Aynor has already played their next game (against Johnsonville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Waccamaw will be paying especially close attention to the Blue Jackets' contest: after the Blue Jackets face off against the Flashes, they'll take on Waccamaw again at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
