Castle Park unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Orange Glen Patriots on Monday, falling 22-9. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Ashley Rodriguez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Leslie Estrada, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Orange Glen and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

While Castle Park had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
