Softball Recap: Roybal Titans vs. Orthopaedic Vipers
If Roybal was feeling good off their 22-5 takedown of Belmont last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Roybal Titans took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orthopaedic Vipers on Wednesday.
For Orthopaedic's part, they got a massive performance out of Milan Grant, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Grant has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniela Ceja, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Roybal's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Orthopaedic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
