Football Recap: Valley Stream Central Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Baldwin

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Hyde Park Memorial, Valley Stream Central was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Baldwin Bruins by a score of 26-14. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 504th, while the Bruins are ranked 244th).

Valley Stream Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Baldwin, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Valley Stream Central will head out to take on Glen Cove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Baldwin, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against East Meadow at 2:00 p.m.
