Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bear River). They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Mira Loma Matadors on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Taryn Cleek made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
