Softball Recap: Seneca Valley Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Seneca Valley won the last time they faced Norwin and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Raiders walked away with a 6-1 win over the Knights. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Lexie Hames spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Paige Volze was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Emry Rice, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Seneca Valley's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Norwin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Seneca Valley nor Norwin have any future games scheduled.
