Recap: John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers vs. Altamont Knights
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Parker, the John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They put the hurt on Altamont with a sharp 58-34 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-16.
Despite the loss, Altamont still got an impressive performance from Tanner Battle, who scored 14 points. Battle scored a full 41.2% of Altamont's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
John Carroll Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Altamont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
John Carroll Catholic will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jefferson Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 1st. Altamont is on the road again on Monday and play against Pelham at 9:00 a.m. on November 20th. Pelham is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
