Volleyball Recap: Cabrillo Conquistadores vs. Pioneer Valley Panthers
After flying high against Santa Maria two weeks ago, Cabrillo came back down to earth. The Conquistadores took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneer Valley Panthers on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-1 defeat on April 4th.
The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 22-25, 25-16.
Matias Salguero paced Cabrillo's offense, picking up 20 kills. Salguero got some help from Cody Lawton and his 39 assists. Finally, Jake Brown kept Cabrillo's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.
