Deer Trail won the last time they faced Bethune and things went their way on Friday too. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, the Eagles made off with a 41-40 victory over the Bobcats.

When it comes to explaining why Bethune lost, don't look at Angel Millan. Despite the final result, he rushed for 81 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, and also threw for 53 yards and two touchdowns. Ismael Perla was in the mix as well, providing the Bobcats with two scores.

Deer Trail's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Bethune, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
