Baseball Recap: North Rockland Wins Going Away Against Scarsdale

North Rockland had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Scarsdale on Monday. North Rockland put the hurt on Scarsdale with a sharp 10-3 win. North Rockland might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Ryan Maltbie looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, North Rockland let Jaden Quezada and Joe Castaldo run wild. Quezada went a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Castaldo went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Castaldo has posted since back in April. Jacob Herrera was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI.

North Rockland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

North Rockland's record is now 14-6. As for Scarsdale, they moved to 7-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

North Rockland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Scarsdale, they will host Mamaroneck at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Raiders have won four straight at home, while the Tigers won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
