Basketball Recap: Treynor Skates Past IKM/Manning with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Treynor). They breezed by the IKM/Manning Wolves to the tune of 79-49 on Friday. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Treynor's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for IKM/Manning, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Treynor will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Grand View Christian at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Grand View Christian will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Treynor surely won't give up without a fight. IKM/Manning will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Missouri Valley at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
