Basketball Recap: Palma Takes a Loss

Palma lost against Woodside back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Palma Chieftains took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodside Wildcats. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Chieftains came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Wildcats are ranked 580th).

Palma's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Woodside, their victory bumped their record up to 11-15.

Palma wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-52 loss against Priory on the 1st. Woodside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
