After a string of six wins, Otay Ranch's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coronado Islanders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Islanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Tuesday.

Taetum Robinson paced Otay Ranch's offense, picking up six kills. Robinson got some help from Aryannah Garingo and her eight assists.

Otay Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Coronado, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Otay Ranch has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Academy of Our Lady of Peace on the 2nd. As for Coronado, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Maranatha Christian on the 2nd.
