Volleyball Recap: Olpe Extends Winning Streak to Three

Olpe waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Waverly Bulldogs. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-1 victory on Saturday.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Olpe who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 22-25, 25-18.

Lilly Skalsky paced Olpe's offense, picking up 19 kills. Skalsky got some help from Kayla Steinke and her 25 assists. Skalsky also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kamryn Temeyer, each putting up two.

Olpe's victory bumped their record up to 24-12. As for Waverly, they dropped their record down to 20-14-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

As of now, neither Olpe nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
