Volleyball Recap: Hughson Comes Up Short

Hughson was the 3-1 winner over West Campus when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. While the Huskies didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 25-18 in the first set.

Hughson actually scored more points across those three sets (63-60), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-23, 17-15.

Among those leading the charge was Heather Yim, who had five digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last 11 contests.

Hughson's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for West Campus, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 28-4.

Looking ahead, Hughson will face off against Vintage at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Campus, they will head out on the road to square off against Fairfield at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
