Recap: San Diego Academy Cavaliers vs. King-Chavez Community Lions
The San Diego Academy Cavaliers won the last time they faced the King-Chavez Community Lions, and things went their way on Tuesday too. San Diego Academy enjoyed a cozy 44-29 victory over King-Chavez Community. The win made it back-to-back wins for San Diego Academy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Diego Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rudy Nieto, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Jason Love was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds.
San Diego Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for King-Chavez Community, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
San Diego Academy will take on Mountain Empire at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Empire will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something San Diego Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for King-Chavez Community, they will be playing at home against Monarch at 3:45 a.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Monarch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Thursday.
