Baseball Recap: Capital Golden Eagles vs. Post Falls Trojans
Capital waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They had just enough and edged out the Post Falls Trojans 6-4. While the Golden Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Cooper Myers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases.
In other batting news, Caden Werner was incredible, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Henry Beatty also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
