Volleyball Recap: Jackson Academy Extends Winning Streak to Five

Jackson Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Jackson Prep Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-18.

Leading Jackson Academy to victory were Anna Holladay Craft and Lillie Henson. Craft had 22 digs and two aces, while Henson had six digs and six aces. What's more, Henson racked up 18 assists, the most she's had over her last six matchups.

They weren't the only good servers: Jackson Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jackson Prep only served two.

Jackson Academy's record now sits at 29-9-1. As for Jackson Prep, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Jackson Academy and Ruston will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Jackson Prep, they will face off against Regents at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
