Baseball Game Preview: Craig County Rockets vs. Giles Spartans

Craig County is 0-10 against Giles since March of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Rockets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Craig County is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 33-1 to Narrows.

Meanwhile, Giles fell victim to Grayson County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Spartans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Craig County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Giles, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7-1.

Craig County suffered a grim 15-9 defeat to Giles in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
