Basketball Recap: Chase Porter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Heritage Christian over University School of Milwaukee

Heritage Christian lost against University School of Milwaukee back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Heritage Christian Patriots lost to the University School of Milwaukee Wildcats on the road by a 78-61 margin. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Heritage Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Chase Porter, who posted ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Porter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Marcus Seroyer, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 11 points.

Even though they lost, Heritage Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Heritage Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for University School of Milwaukee, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Heritage Christian will take on Living Word Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Living Word Lutheran will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Heritage Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for University School of Milwaukee, they have already played their next contest, a 64-53 win against Luther Prep on the 7th.
