Baseball Game Preview: Bradford Prep Bears vs. Mountain Island Charter Raptors

Bradford Prep is 2-8 against Mountain Island Charter since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bears will be playing at home against the Raptors at 3:30 p.m. Bradford Prep has given up an average of 14 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bradford Prep is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 13-0 to Pine Lake Prep.

Bradford Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michel Thompson, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Jayce Minerick also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Mountain Island Charter got a massive performance out of Ryan Hayes, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Hayes has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Logan Featherstone, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Mountain Island Charter's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. As for Bradford Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
