Baseball Recap: Trico Comes Up Short

After flying high against Elverado on Friday, Trico came back down to earth. The Pioneers lost 10-2 to the Herrin Tigers on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pioneers have suffered since March 21st.

Trico has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Herrin, their win ended an 18-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-13.

Trico has already played their next game (against Anna-Jonesboro), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Herrin, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Carbondale on the 14th.
