Basketball Recap: Lawrence Academy Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Lawrence Academy won the last time they faced Northeast Academy, and Nike Wiggins did his part to make sure it happened again. The Lawrence Academy Warriors took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 82-40 win over the Northeast Academy Eagles thanks in part to Wiggins, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 40 points in addition to six boards and three steals. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Stokes Powell, who posted eight points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Lawrence Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.5 points per game. As for Northeast Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
