Football Recap: Caldwell Starts Season with Victory Against Crockett

Caldwell gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took down the Crockett Bulldogs 47-32. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Coy Becka had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 154 yards and two scores while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024.

Looking ahead, Caldwell will challenge Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crockett, they will face off against Cypress Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
