Sumner is a perfect 6-0 against Bethel since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Spartans will head out to face off against the Bison at 4:00 p.m. Sumner is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

Sumner made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Timberline, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Spartans blew past the Blazers 12-2 on Monday. Considering the Spartans have won three matches by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Anna Thweatt was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Naya Alastra, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Sumner always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Timberline only posted an OBP of .308.

Meanwhile, Bethel came up short against South Kitsap on Wednesday and fell 7-2. The Bison have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Sumner's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Bethel, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Sumner took their victory against Bethel in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
