Meanwhile, Bethel came up short against South Kitsap on Wednesday and fell 7-2. The Bison have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Sumner's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Bethel, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Sumner took their victory against Bethel in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
