Baseball Recap: Palmetto Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Palmetto rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They never let the Lennard Longhorns get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Longhorns back in February, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Not much got past Landon Henderson, who gave up just five hits to keep Lennard off the board. Henderson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Palmetto's victory bumped their record up to 7-18. As for Lennard, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Palmetto will take on Parrish Community at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulls have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. Lennard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
