Soccer Recap: Central DeWitt Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bellevue on Friday, Central DeWitt came back down to earth. Central DeWitt came up short against the Davenport North Wildcats on Saturday, falling 4-1. If Central DeWitt was looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to Davenport North when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Central DeWitt has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Davenport North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7-2.

Looking ahead, Davenport North will host Calamus-Wheatland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central DeWitt will be paying especially close attention to Davenport North's contest: after Davenport North faces off against Calamus-Wheatland, they'll take on Central DeWitt again at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
