Louisa County's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Goochland as they made off with a 7-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

Regan McCavanagh was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
In other pitching news, Lily Ruckle looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, Lauren Goodman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Katelyn Cheely was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
Louisa County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.
While Western Albemarle didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Albemarle on Tuesday.

On the hitting side, Western Albemarle got a big performance out of Aniyah Sims, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Hux, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Louisa County's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Western Albemarle, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-3.
Louisa County skirted past Western Albemarle 6-5 when the teams last played on Wednesday. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
