The Tatum Eagles will challenge the Mineola Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tatum is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Tatum didn't have quite enough to beat Bullard and fell 4-3. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Tatum had to settle for second despite strong performances on the mound from Logen Tovar and Cayden Tatum Tovar pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits, while Tatum tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest earned runs Tovar has allowed since back in March.

On the hitting side, Tatum saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Whiteus, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Mineola came up short against Shelbyville on Monday and fell 8-3. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tatum's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Mineola, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
