Basketball Recap: Parrish Community Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Parrish Community can now relate to. They took a blow against the Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons on Thursday, falling 65-19. While losing is never fun, the Bulls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while the Fightin' Tarpons are ranked 45th).

Adrienne Harris had a dynamite game for Charlotte, putting up 11 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. That's the most steals Harris has posted since back in January of 2024. Acelia Beals was another key player, going 5-for-11 to rack up 11 points and three steals.

Parrish Community's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Charlotte, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-8.

Parrish Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Charlotte, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-34 victory against Manatee on the 8th.
