            The Layton Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to  face off against  the Cottonwood Colts  at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Layton Christian Academy's last five  games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Tuesday, Layton Christian Academy needed a bit of extra time to put away Park City. They won by a  goal and slipped past the Miners  2-1. The score was all tied up  0-0 at the break, but Layton Christian Academy were the  better team in the second half.
 Bruno Bello and  Francisco Fraga scored both of Layton Christian Academy's goals,  bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to four  goals the game before, Cottonwood was a bit more limited  in their  contest  on Tuesday. They lost  8-0 to Murray. While losing is never fun, Cottonwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Murray are ranked ninth).
 Layton Christian Academy's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-2. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  scored 22  goals over those five  matchups. As for Cottonwood, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
 Layton Christian Academy took their  win against Cottonwood  when the teams last played  on April 1st by a conclusive  7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the  team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
