Basketball Recap: Roy Wins Going Away Against Box Elder

Roy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 53-40 victory over the Box Elder Bees. The game marked the Royals' most dominant win of the season.

Jerzee Hart was nothing short of spectacular: she almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 19 boards, and nine blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Iva Hunt, who posted a point along with five assists, five rebounds, and five steals.

Roy was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Box Elder still got an impressive performance from Emma Nelson, who earned 22 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Nelson a new career-high in points.

With the victory, Roy broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10. As for Box Elder, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Roy will welcome Viewmont at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Viewmont is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season. As for Box Elder, they are taking a road trip to take on Bountiful at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Bountiful will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Box Elder surely won't give up without a fight.
